Think about all the speeches & toasts that photography just can’t capture. Think about the sound of your partner saying his/her vows – and what your first words will be to one another as a married couple.
Think of your mother’s smiles and looks as you put on your dress and what your dad said to you right before he walked you down the aisle. Think about capturing a grandparent’s blessing. Think about all the subtle gestures and looks that only great wedding film can capture and only a great editor can put together into a seamless film. That's Why.
I try and meet with each couple at least once before the wedding, I try to get to know them a little, to get a feel for what type of personalities they have, their likes and dislikes regarding their wedding video, I like to get an idea of what type of music they like or dislike as the case may be.
I offer advice & suggestions and run through the days timeline to ensure their day runs smoothly, It is in their best interest that I get the best possible coverage to enable me to create something uniquely special for them. Their wedding dvd is not only for them to enjoy but it’s also for their parents, their family and friends and eventually for generations still to come.
It will be in thirty years time before the true value of our work today, will come into its own.
I don’t treat every wedding I attend the same way, each couple is different, they have different ideas, different expectations, different wants and I try and tailor their dvd to those wants and needs. I use the camera to record the sights and sounds of the day, capturing the emotion, the feeling of excitement, the fun, the romance , the love.
For me a wedding is about two people in love and their desire to share that love with their closest family and friends. I want to be able to capture that, and using some well chosen music produce a well edited piece for the couple to share afterwards.
Any one can grab a camera and start shooting but if you don’t know how to tell the story it doesn’t have any meaning, you don’t want to roll the dice on your wedding day and hope for the best, you need someone who has the experience and knowledge, the most important thing for me is keeping the bride & groom happy.
